Ubisoft has announced that The Siege of Paris, the second expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, will launch on August 12.

The announcement was tucked away in today’s 1.3.0 patch notes post. We heard over the weekend that it’ll add level scaling and a new Nightmarish difficulty, but today’s notes also reveal a new limited time event. The Sigrblot Festival will run from July 19 through to August 19. It’ll include new festivities and quests and unique festival rewards.

A skill tree update will also be available in the patch, alongside several new skills in each category. Raven players can pick Light Fingered or Thrill of War, while those on the Bear path can pick Heidrun Slam and Idunn’s Heart. Finally, the Wolf track now includes Survival Instinct and the Wolf Warrior skills.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla The Siege of Paris chapter meanwhile will drop partway through the Sigrblog Festival. Sailing to the Kingdom of Francia, you’ll engage the forces of Charles the Fat as you and your Vikings forge new alliances. Among other things, the expansion will see the debut of Black Box Infiltration Missions. It’ll be available standalone or as part of the game’s season pass on August 12.

Until then you can check out the full patch notes for the 1.3.0 Update for yourself over here. The title update is available to download now for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
