Photo Modes have been a staple of games for a while now and some, such as Assassin’s Creed Origins, are very well suited to it thanks to their detailed and exotic settings. Today Ubisoft has taken the next logical step by announcing a one day photography exhibition featuring photos from the game.

Taking place at London’s Hospital Club from 10am – 5pm this Friday (November 3) the ‘Time Travel’ exhibition will showcase the work of four of ‘the UK’s leading Instagram travel photographers’ who were challenged to get two shots each from the game captured in native 4K resolution.

The exhibition will be free, and I dare say the quality of the work will be far better than any of my shots of chasing cats and trying to perch Bayek on ever-increasingly dangerous wildlife. As tie-ins go, this is a lot more logical than a full sized sarcophagus, gold plated headphones costing €50K and a pair of trainers.

Assassin’s Creed Origins itself is a pretty decent game too, all being told – Alice gave her verdict here praising the’astoundingly beautiful” gameworld.
