Ubisoft’s well-traveled stealth RPG series will soon be taking its players to another completely different world as Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is now reportedly set to arrive in 2024 according to Media & Partnership Global Lead Arisa Lagunzad.

The release window for the upcoming series installment set in Japan was seemingly confirmed through Lagunzad’s post on LinkedIn wherein she was looking for sponsorship partners to help market the launch of Codename Red. Of course, this news has predictably excited a large number of Assassin’s Creed fans since a game set in the Far East had long been at the top of the community’s wishlist.

Production on the temporarily named AC Codename Red is also being headed by Ubisoft Quebec, the company’s Canada-based studio that was previously responsible for the creation of the critically acclaimed, Greek mythology-themed entry, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. With this in mind, we can more than likely expect the upcoming feudal Japan-based game to have the same scale as its predecessor albeit in a completely different setting that’s akin to Ghost of Tsushima.

Unfortunately, details on the next premium Assassin’s Creed installment is still largely scarce since we’re currently far-off from its reported release window. However, Ubisoft, along with the game’s developers, will almost certainly provide more details soon enough seeing as how there’s only a year left until its actual launch.

Nevertheless, there should still be plenty of Ubisoft-led stealth adventure goodness to keep you busy in the meantime as the Assassin’s Creed Mirage release date is nearly upon us. Though its scale isn’t as massive as Odyssey’s and Valhalla’s, it should still bring you plenty of content, especially with the inclusion of its History of Baghdad mode that lets you learn more about the storied past of Iraq’s capital.
