Ubisoft has announced that beta testing for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade will begin next month.

To catch you up, Codename Jade is the name of the new mobile Assassin’s Creed game that promises to deliver a full-size Assassin’s Creed experience on portable devices. This entry will take players into one the earliest dynasty eras of China in the third century, and will see you take on “the path of Xia” as an adopted child of master Wei Yu.

For the first time in a mobile AC title, you’ll get to fully explore an open world spanning “from the Great Wall outside the empire’s borders to the imperial capital of Xianyang” – along the way, you’ll journey across this world which includes plenty of treasures to find and things to do while defending against the Xiongnu and uncover the secrets of the terracotta warriors. You can expect all the AC staples too of course, up to and including cities to parkour around and plenty of targets to assassinate.

This beta test will be available to both iOS and Android devices and will kick off on August 3, but you can sign up from today over on the game’s official website. The full schedule runs as follows:

Questionnaire period: July 17th- 27th
Invitation period: July 27th – 31st
Pre-download: August 1st
Test: August 3rd- 11th

Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade was first revealed at the same time as Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe and Codename Red last September. The beta test also comes just a few months ahead of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage release date which arrives on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC this October.
