In addition to Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Ubisoft gave us an insight into the next two “major” games in the long running series. Both will be a part of the previously announced Assassin’s Creed Infinity project.

Neither of them had full titles yet, but have been given temporary codenames. One’s known as Codename Red, while the other is Codename Hexe.

On top of those, we also got word of an Assassin’s Creed mobile game, and some DLC for Valhalla. Here’s what we know of them so far.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Red

Codename Red will be set in feudal Japan, and is set to be the next “premium” Assassin’s Creed title – so more on the scale of Valhalla and and Odyssey.

Speaking of, development is being headed up by Montreal Quebec. They were the studio previously responsible for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – and Codename Red will also share that game’s creative director Jonathan Dumont.

We weren’t given much on further details aside from the brief teaser trailer, except that it’ll see you become a Shinobi.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe

Meanwhile, Ubisoft Montreal are busy on this one. Again, things were kept rather vague – but it seems it’ll focus on witches and is promised to be a “very different” Assassin’s Creed experience.

This one is being headed up by Clint Hocking, who’s previous work includes Splinter Cell, Watch Dogs Legion and is probably most famous for Far Cry 2.

Both games don’t have much of a release window yet, other than that they’ll be landing some time after 2023. In fact, Ubisoft say that just because Red and Hexe have been announced as the next two games, doesn’t mean they’ll release in subsequent years.

Assassin’s Creed Infinity

We are told that they will both form part of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which will form somewhat of a connective tissue between the games. Exactly how this will work though wasn’t mentioned just yet.

What we were told, however, is that Ubisoft are actively looking at bringing back multiplayer to the Assassin’s Creed series.

They say they’re currently in an “investigation” phase, so it’s still very early days – but it will use this AC Infinity hub in some fashion.

Assassin’s Creed Mobile – Codename Jade

If all that wasn’t enough, we were also told about a brand new open world Assassin’s Creed title for mobile.

Currently given the moniker Codename Jade, it’ll be set in Ancient China – and will allow you to create your own Assassin character for the first time.

Intriguingly, we’re promised full, open world gameplay on mobile for this one – including the tease that we’ll be able to parkour across the Great Wall of China. There’ll be more on that in the coming months.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – The Last Chapter DLC

Finally, Ubisoft has also declared that existing title Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be getting one more piece of DLC.

Entitled The Last Chapter, it’ll be free for all current owners of the game – and will tie up many of the loose ends of the Valhalla story.

There’ll be glitches and animus bugs to contend with, as well the chance to meet some more historical figures. That’s promised to land before the end of the year.
