EA and Respawn Entertainment have now introduced the new Apex Legends Neon Network Collection Event that has evidently brought new content to the ever-popular team-based shoot ’em up. Based on a handful of community reactions, however, it appears most players are divided when it comes to the goodies that the latest event has brought as some have described it as being disruptive to a match’s flow.

Based on several comments under a Reddit post by paradoxally, a few players initially seemed to have trouble learning how to get Compute Nodes on the Broken Moon map as LimberWombat said: “Are the nodes not available on all maps? I don’t have a tracker when playing Broken Moon, unless this is a bug.” This led to a wave of frustrated users sharing their own experiences with the same problem. Fortunately, it appears most have since been able to resolve this issue once they re-logged in to the game after a few hours.

On the other hand, some responders have found the Neon Network Collection Event to be a much needed breath of fresh air as evidenced by SkullTitsGaming‘s lengthy message. In it, they noted that they like “the intended design changes brought in this event,” such as the player-selected reward path, the in-game benefit to event participation with no hero limitation, and accessible node locations.

Of course, much like many of the other comments, SkullTitsGaming similarly had their own complaints about the current event as they apparently experienced server instability upon its launch. However, their reaction indicates that its positive qualities outweigh the negative elements, meaning EA and Respawn Entertainment’s efforts are still largely successful in their eyes.

With the Apex Legends Neon Network Collection Event set to last until August 8, 2023, which just so happens to be the Season 18 release date, you’ll still have plenty of opportunities to obtain all the rewards that comes with this futuristic-themed celebration. Just try not to get too carried away with the node collecting or you might end up with a couple of frustrated teammates shouting for backup.
