Al Matthews, who played Sgt. Apone in 1986 movie Aliens, has joined the voice cast of Codemasters’ Operation Flashpoint Red River.
According to the official Red River website Matthews will provide the voice for Battalion Commander Col. Shannon J.Hardaway.
“I spent six years in the United States Marine Corps; I hold thirteen combat awards and decorations, including two purple hearts,” said Matthews. “I was the first black Marine in the 1st Marine Division in Viet Nam, to be meritoriously promoted to the rank of sergeant; I served with Kilo Battery, Fourth Battalion, 11th Marines, 1st Marine Division, of that I am very proud.”
Operation Flashpoint Red River is due for release between April and June on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Reviews for the previous game mostly come in at around 7/10… mostly.
