First-person space exploration game Adr1ft has been delayed to Q1 2016, 505 Games has confirmed. The game had previously been due to launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC this month.

It will now release on PC as a “premier launch title” for Oculus Rift, arriving the same day as the VR hardware. 505 says that details on “additional skus and platforms will be announced in the future”.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to work directly with the Oculus team to bring ADR1FT to the Oculus Rift,” said Adam Orth, creative director of developer Three One Zero. “The excitement we’ve seen from our fans around ADR1FT VR and the groundbreaking technology of the Oculus Rift is a special combination; short of actually being in space, this is the best way to experience zero gravity.”

Described as a “first person experience”, Adr1ft tells the story of a lone survivor caught amongst the wreckage of a destroyed space station, and who must try to stay alive to return safely to Earth.

The game is said to be a 4-hour experience that will be priced between $20-30.
