The agreement gives Activision rights to publish interactive software based on subsequent Spider-Man movie sequels and new television series. Spider-Man has been hugely successful for Activision, with Spider-Man 2 being the top selling movie-based game in the US for the 2004 calendar year. Under this current agreement Activision will release games based on the upcoming feature Spider-Man 3, which is set for release in May 2007.

Activision recently announced a new long term agreement with DreamWorks Animation SKG to publish games based on the studio’s IP which includes Shrek, Madagascar and many other future movies.
