  • Error Delta-01 seems to originate from the conflict between XDefiant and IPv4 internet protocol.
  • To fix this error, try restarting XDefiant first and check your internet connection. Failing that, Mark Rubin offered a couple of suggested solutions as well.

Like most online games, XDefiant isn’t immune to connection errors. Delta-01 is another error that XDefiant players can get while trying to join a match or log into the game. Fortunately, there are a few solutions that you can try to fix the issue.

Potential Delta-01 error fixes

Reports vary on what could be the source of the Delta-01 error, but the main culprit seems to be the IPv4 internet protocol. However, there are mixed player statements that they use IPv6 protocol and the error had occurred to them as well. Ultimately, it can be surmised that Delta-01 is a network error and as such there are a few potential fixes that you can try. Moreover, the first two fixes were suggested by the Executive Producer of XDefiant, Mark Rubin.

Before trying any of the proposed fixes below, first try restarting XDefiant and Ubisoft Connect. It’s possible that the error was just a momentary glitch and that you’ll be able to log in normally after a restart. If that doesn’t work, proceed to try our suggested fixes.

1. Delete proxy_v1 file

The main suggestion on how to fix the Delta-01 error is to delete a problematic file that can collide with your internet protocol. Here’s how to do it:

  • Navigate to your Documents folder on Windows.
  • Go to My Games, and then to the XDefiant folder.
  • Find the file named proxy_v1.bin and delete it.

After doing that, try playing XDefiant again. Hopefully, you’ll be able to connect to the game normally. Otherwise, try some of the other suggestions.

2. Use VPN to connect to a European IP

Another solution proposed by Mark Rubin is to try using a VPN to connect to a European server. He suggested doing this as a test to troubleshoot the error, rather than playing games using a VPN. Failing that and if possible, try switching to a different internet source which could fix the internet protocol issue.

3. Restart your internet

Your internet connection could have been the cause of the error all along. First, check your connection to see if your internet is down. In either case, restart your router and give it a few minutes to reboot. If you’re playing through wi-fi, consider switching to an ethernet cable. Then, try running XDefiant again and see if you encounter Delta-01 or any of the other possible errors.
