Wild Card Football is the latest instalment from Saber Interactive’s best selling sports-arcade Playgrounds franchise. The game promises to be an over-the-top, pick up and play style game suitable for all players.
While Wild Card Football may not feature the realism that Madden 24 may offer, it will still feature plenty of real-life superstars. Patrick Mahomes, Justin Jefferson, and Aaron Donald are just a handful of NFL all-stars ready to rumble in the game.
Wild Card Football release date
The Wild Card Football release date is October 10, 2023. Saber Interactive’s brand-new arcade action football game will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Online multiplayer is equipped with full crossplay.
Wild Card Football is licenced by the NFL Players Association (NFLPA). This means that hundreds of Pro Football stars are available to play as in the game. Cover star Colin Kaepernick and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will be among the best.
What is Wild Card Football?
Wild Card Football is a mixture of extreme 7v7 action, bombastic moves, style, and energy. “This is such a nostalgic throwback to the classic arcade-style football games so many of us grew up with and loved. It’s been a blast to be involved with the Saber team as they’ve put the game together,” claimed Colin Kaepernick, the cover star for the new game.

Dream Team
Thanks to the licence with the NFLPA, you will be able to assemble your Wild Card Football Dream Team. In a 7v7 format, you can pick from hundreds of genuine pro football players. Different challenges and rewards will be available to unlock as you progress.
There will also be over 150 Wild Cards to make use of during matches. Special moves such as ‘summoning walls’ or ‘invisibility’ can help turn the game in your favour by boosting your team’s stats. Rule-Breakers will also feature, enabling you to alter the rules completely.
A variety of game modes will be available for you to test your skills in. Single-player season mode will provide a test of your skill level. The competitive online multiplayer will determine who the real champion is at the top of the leaderboard. Local multiplayer is available for those competing against friends for bragging rights.
Lastly, make sure your team is decked out in your style. Customize your team’s logo, uniform, and home stadium and give your team a real identity. You can also create your own playbooks and Wild Card decks to suit your on-field tactics.
