Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1’s most awaited update 33.20 was released on January 14 and brought tons of new content to the game, including a brand new Fortnite Festival Season 7 featuring Hatsune Miku. While the patch mainly focused on adding Festival season files and support to use instruments as pickaxes and backblings, notable additions were also made to the Battle Royale island. With new map changes and weapon unvaults, the update has added files for Fortnite’s huge crossover with Godzilla x Kong that arrived on January 17th. However right before the monsters arrived, Godzilla has left his footprint on the Chapter 6 Season 1 island and you need to find it to complete Monsterverse quests. Here’s where you can find Godzilla’s footprints in Fortnite and complete the Monsterverse quest.

Godzilla has left two footprints on Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 island, both of which can be found east of the new Shattered Span POI. The map below shows the exact marked location where you’ll be able to find the two footprints easily.
To head there, simply open your mini-map during a Battle Royale match and place a marker right above the N on Shattered Span text. That’s where the two footprints are situated and can be visited in a Battle Royale match.
Furthermore, the size of the footprints is huge which suggests that Godzilla is a full-sized monster who has also destroyed the Shining Span bridge which has now turned into Shattered Span. But that’s not all – several Monsterverse quests have also been added to Fortnite that contribute to unlocking the Godzilla skin in the Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass.
How to complete Investigate the Footprints Monsterverse quest
In order to complete the Investigate the Footprints Monsterverse quest in Fortnite, all you need to do is land inside one of Godzilla’s footprints on the island. As mentioned earlier, these footprints can be found located east of the destroyed Shattered Span bridge POI.
Once you’ve landed inside, you’ll complete your quest and earn 25,000 XP instantly for free. However, if you wish to explore the location a bit more, make sure to loot the chests placed next to each of Godzilla’s footprints and arm yourself with a weapon.
You’ll also find an SUV vehicle at the location so it’s best to use it to rotate out of there quickly before enemies land near you and eliminate you. Since this spot is tied to a quest, it’ll be heavily contested for the next few days as it has rapidly become a main attraction on the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 map.
