Trying to figure out how to use back weapons in Armored Core 6? Your shoulder-mounted weapon slots provide your AC with a major amount of additional firepower. They’re vital components to getting the best performance out of your mech.
In this guide we’ll go over how to use back weapons in Armored Core 6 and why they’re so useful. If you want to take on bosses like Sulla, Balteus, or the Smart Cleaner then you’ll want to make sure you know everything that’s in this guide.
How to use your back-mounted weaponry in Armored Core 6
To use your back weapons, use the left and right bumpers (L1 and R1) on controller, or “Q” and “E” on mouse and keyboard. These controls will allow you to fire your shoulder mounted weapons, or deploy shields if you have a pulse shield equipped in one of those slots.
How to drop back-mounted weapons in AC 6
In previous games, you’ve also been able to drop your shoulder-mounted weapons. Detaching them when you’ve run out of ammo allows your AC to shed the dead weight that those systems then pose. Luckily in Fires of Rubicon, you don’t need to worry about this. Weapon systems that run out of ammo will automatically be detached and discarded upon depletion.
That covers everything you need to know about how to use back weapons in Armored Core 6. If you haven’t got a lot of options for parts yet, check out our guide for help.
