Gather around modders and anyone else who wants to know if Armored Core 6 will have mods.

The release of Armored Core 6 has us buzzing with excitement. Players are already preloading the game as we edge closer to the release time. Those who have played the game are already hooked, so we reckon this release will be pretty big. The question on many people’s lips though is whether Armored Core 6 will have mods.

The mod potential of this game looks massive, and if it’s anything like Elden Ring (which it is), then there should be lots of mods for Armored Core 6.

Will Armored Core 6 have mods?

As we alluded to, AC6 runs on the same engine as Elden Ring and Sekiro, as confirmed by the renowned modder, Lance MacDonald via Twitter. This isn’t an official confirmation, but given MacDonald reputation for modding, it seems like a pretty good indicator that AC6 can be modded.

The engine that AC6 runs on makes a difference because people will be more familiar with the engine, rather than starting from scratch. Modders will be more accustomed to the game files, making it easier to dig into the game files and create new mods.

The real question is whether Armored Core 6 mods will keep with the mods we’ve seen in Skyrim. It’s fair we’ll probably see a mixture of everything, from serious to silly. Fingers crossed there’ll be some optimizing mods to help with FPS and the like.

In the meantime, make sure you’ve got everything you need to enjoy AC6. We’ve rounded up the best controllers and keyboard and mouse combos for the job.

Armored Core 6 mods – what to expect

The sky’s the limit for what we could expect in the way of mods, especially given that it’s coming out on PC. The link to Elden Ring means many mod creators will be tempted to come over to AC6, meaning we could see some cool mods on the game’s release. We’ll be updating this page too as soon as we’ve heard more modding news.
