Want to beat Sulla in Armored Core 6? By the time you meet Sulla, you’ll have already battled at least a few other AC pilots. But none of them hold a candle to this first-gen augmented merc.
Here’s our best advice for how to beat Sulla in Armored Core 6. If you’re still struggling after this, be sure to experiment with some new parts or try honing your skills in the arena against other enemy mechs.
How to defeat Sulla in Fires of Rubicon
Here are our top strategies to consider when trying to beat Sulla in Armored Core 6.
- Build for speed and stay mobile.
- Go for stuns.
- Be flexible with distance and positioning.
Let’s go over each of these in turn.
Build for speed and stay mobile
Sulla is fast. In fact, he’s probably one of the fastest opponents you’ll have encountered up to this point. His AC is well designed for speed, aiming for quick, overwhelming aggression to dispatch enemies.
With this in mind, it’s important to consider your own approach to mobility here. If you’re confident or experienced in mech building, one option is to go for a counter-build to speed-based designs. In this case, you’re aiming to make yourself tanky, hard to stun, and easy to protect, with weapon loadouts that can easily track or harass moving targets.
Alternatively, you can aim for a speed build yourself. Aim for something that can keep pace with Sulla’s movements, drawing on large or fast-charging energy reserves. If you’re able to maintain airtime significantly, all the better.
Go for stuns
Sulla might seem an overwhelming foe on the surface, but his build has some key weaknesses. The biggest of these is how easy it is to stun him. High impact weapons, and melee weapons are both great options for this.
Because his AC can’t take a lot of punishment before becoming stunned, play on offence as often as you can. Aim to keep him immobile often and you’ll quickly gain the upper hand in damage.
Be flexible with distance and positioning
Sulla’s versatility is significant. His speed allows him to close or create distance quickly. His pulse gun gives him a great close-range aid to whittle energy defences away. And his missiles opponents under pressure, while his laser offers a long range choice.
This all means that you’re not really safe relying on any given distance when fighting Sulla. Rather, you should aim to be as flexible with your distancing as possible. When building up for a stun, staying distant to create breathing room to dodge his attacks is advisable. Try then gradually closing in as you come nearer and nearer to stunning him.
Don’t be afraid to take chances though. If you see an opening for a good melee, take it.
Who is Sulla in Armored Core 6
Sulla is an independent mercenary, just like our character, 616. He’s a rare survivor of first generation augmentation, a fact which gives him exceptional reaction speeds, stamina and decision making. Sulla is a deadly combatant in a duel, preferring to fight hard and fast to overwhelm his opponents quickly and be done with them. He also has something of a repertoire with Handler Walter, having been responsible for the deaths of several of our Handler’s previous charges.
That’s everything you should need to know in order to beat Sulla in Armored Core 6. Now that enemies like Sulla and the PCA helicopter are behind you, the likes of Balteus and the Sea Spider await.
