What Are Alchemical Capsules in Steelrising?

Certain Steelrising weapons, chiefly those imbued with Alchemical attacks and special moves, such as the Charleville 1789 Shield Musket, consume Alchemical Capsules when used to attack an enemy. In other words, capsules are alchemical ammunition.
The amount of Alchemical Capsules loaded into your weapon appears as small blue dots in the bottom left corner of the HUD, running vertically to the currently equipped weapon. The number below indicates how many total capsules you have available in your inventory.
Each shot or attack consumes a set number of Alchemical Capsules. For example, the Charleville 1789 Shield Musket uses one capsule per shot, while the Fire Chain’s Invocation of Fire special move consumes three capsules.
Buy Get Alchemical Capsules in the Boutique at Vestals

Alchemical Capsules are available to buy in the Boutique at any vestal in Steelrising. You’ll find them under the Quick Access Belt category. They cost 30 Anima Essence a pop, so they’re relatively cheap compared to other items like grenades and vials.
Once you’ve unlocked fast travel, you can also buy Alchemical Capsules in the Boutique at the Horseless Carriage in all of Steelrising’s levels.

Kill and Loot Enemies

Another reliable source of Alchemical Capsules in Steelrising is simply killing and looting enemies. The number of lootable capsules depends on the enemy type. More challenging enemies drop a higher number than smaller, easily defeated ones, but never more than 2-3 for non-boss mobs. Expect to typically get one capsule per enemy killed.
Loot Alchemical Capsules As You Explore

Alchemical Capsules are also scattered fairly generously across Steerising’s different Parisian levels. You’ll find them by interacting with glowing, wispy, teal orbs. Alchemical Capsules aren’t a guaranteed drop – you’ll often get vials or other consumables, too – but by taking the time to pick up every piece of loot, you’ll get a steady stream of them.
We recommend investigating every little alley and dead end, as they usually house a loot orb or two. Steelrising leans heavily on verticality, so a good tip is to peek upwards every so often as you’re exploring. There’s no shortage of ledges and open windows in Steelrising where you’ll more often than not find some precious loot, including Alchemical Capsules.
