Can you respec skill points in Starfield? With Bethesda’s expansive interplanetary RPG containing a plethora of unlockable skills you can use throughout your adventure, you may be wondering if you can start your build all over again so you can try a completely different playstyle.

Can you reset skill points in Starfield?
Unfortunately, no. You cannot respec skill points for your character in Starfield. The only way you can reset your build completely is by starting a new game with a new character. With this in mind, we recommend spending your skill points on the abilities that you plan on making use of the most in the early stages of the story.
But even though a respec feature isn’t currently available in Starfield, there is an aspect of the game that allows you to try out different builds and playstyles. Much like previous Bethesda creations, Starfield also does not have a level cap – or at least, there isn’t one that you can reach in a regular playthrough. And since you can earn skill points for each time you level up, you can essentially unlock every in-game skill imaginable as long as you’re willing to grind.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that you should just spend skill points all willy nilly. Some abilities will be much more useful than others especially during the initial portion of the story, so you’ll need to put some thought into the talents you want to get as you start off on your Settled Systems saga.
