There are nine Experts in Star Wars Outlaws – including one available from the start, and one hidden. They provide abilities for Kay which she must then unlock (except for the first one, usually). These Experts are:
- Bram, the Bartender
- Selo Rovak, the Mechanic
- Aila Bren, the Slicer
- Temmin Wexely, the Scavenger
- Rooster Trace, the Mercenary
- Sheriff Quint, the Gunslinger
- Teeka, the Hotfixer

Among the many NPCs that Kay can meet during her journey, nine of them are Experts in their field, able to impart invaluable knowledge. However, that doesn’t come easy and the mere objective of meeting some of them is an adventure in itself. These Experts are the only way to learn new abilities, though they often impart only one – the rest you have to earn on your own. We’ll dive into all of the Experts in Star Wars Outlaws, and list all abilities that they can teach you.
All Experts and abilities in Star Wars Outlaws and how to find them
There are nine Experts in Star Wars Outlaws, each with their specific specialisation which grants Kay access to six different abilities. With two exceptions, you start with only the first ability when you gain access to the Expert, and then will have to fulfil conditions to unlock the rest. These are the Experts you can meet along the journey:

MT-7, known as The Veteran, is a hidden secret Expert who doesn’t even have a slot in the initial list.
Bram, the Bartender – location and abilities
- Location: Unlocked from the beginning on Cantonica
Bram Shano has known Kay since her childhood and has provided her with a home above his bar in Canto Bight. You start the game with Bram unlocked and is the only Expert with the first two abilities unlocked by default. His abilities revolve around a spread of basic game mechanics and boosts.

Selo Rovak, the Mechanic – location and abilities
- Location: Toshara
Selo Rovak is a mechanic who you can seek out after completing the New Tricks main quest on Toshara. Danka, the fixer, will point you towards an Expert Mechanic intel at Jaunta’s Hope. After picking up the intel at a bar, you’ll head to Kadua, then to a nearby cliff where you’ll meet Selo.
Selo will ask you to infiltrate a compound swarming with Empire troops. You’ll have to traverse platforms, moving walls, and tight crawlspaces before finding the Speeder part she sent you for. After getting the part, return to Selo to gain her expertise. Her abilities revolve around boosting your Speeder, as well as a few all-purpose upgrades.

Aila Bren, the Slicer – location and abilities
- Location: Toshara
Aila Bren is a slicing expert who you’ll hear about at the same time as the mechanic, after the New Tricks main quest. You’ll get Expert Slicer intel. You’ll find first clues in Mirogana’s canteen, after which you need to sneak into Crimson Dawn’s landing pad – or just walk in if your reputation is Excellent.
The next clue takes you to the Imperial compound where the Expert is located, after which you have to help extract her. Aila’s abilities revolve around slicing, terminals, stealth, and sabotage.

Temmin Wexely, the Scavenger – location and abilities
- Location: Akiva
Temmin Wexely is a scavenger who you can meet on Akiva after The Droidsmith main quest. After meeting with Gedeek, you will receive Expert Scavenger intel. This will take you to Sashin Village where you’ll learn that Temmin went scavenging and didn’t return. You’ll find him at a nearby homestead, trapped by Hutt thugs.
After saving him, he will task you with getting Durasteel Struts to improve your Speeder. You’ll find them on a nearby Pyke island outpost. The Pykes will try to relocate the goods, so you’ll have to chase them down and get them. Temmin’s first ability lets your Speeder glide over water, while others provide a few general boosts.

Rooster Trace, the Mercenary – location and abilities
- Location: Kijimi
Rooster Trace is an Expert whose intel will appear on your map as soon as you arrive on Kijimi. Speak with the bartender at Domak Refectory in Kijmi City, who will direct you to Rooster’s table. She will task you with getting a few items from Kijimi’s asteroid belt.
After finding the container in the space debris, you’ll be sent to Tatooine to meet up with Rooster again. Together, you’ll fend off waves of Stormtroopers using a variety of heavy weapons. After that, you can get her abilities which revolve around heavy weapons, detection range, and a few perks for the Trailblazer.

Sheriff Quint, the Gunslinger – location and abilities
- Location: Tatooine
Sheriff Quint is found on Tatooine with the help of The Gunslinger Intel, after speaking with the bartender at the famous Mos Eisley cantina. Follow the trail to Wayfar, where you have to get a datapad in the Hutt-controlled area. If your reputation with them is good enough, you can just walk in and take it.
After that, you’ll meet up with Quint herself, who will ask you to help protect the town from Hutt vengeance. You’ll have to battle a few waves of Hutt goons before a showdown (hopefully at high noon) with their leader. Quint’s abilities, as expected, focus on improving your blaster skills and Adrenaline Rush boosts.

Teeka, the Hotfixer – location and abilities
- Location: Tatooine
Teeka is a Jawa who can be found on Tatooine after meeting with Hoss in the Mos Eisley cantina. You’ll get a quest called Buying a Turret, which will send you to Bestine at first, followed by looking for Teeka’s Sandcrawler in South Jundland Wastes.
Teeka will send you to retrieve an item from a cave. You will need to defeat a few bandits along the way to get the item and bring it back to Teeka. Besides putting a turret on the Trailblazer, Hotfixer’s abilities offer a variety of useful perks, including a Sabacc cheat move.
Quint’s Adrenaline Rush Mastery ability is extremely useful in fighting enemies to complete Teeka’s quest.

Lando Calrissian, the High Roller – location and abilities
- Location: Akiva
The galaxy-famous Lando Calrissian can be found among the high-rollers on Akiva. Visit the Alcazar cantina in Myrra and speak with the bartender about an expert Sabacc player. This will get you the Taking Your Shot intel and lead you to Satrap’s Promenade. Head to the indicated bar and try to find a way in, either by bribing, bluffing, or sneaking in.
You’ll meet Lando there, who will send you to Kijimi’s Crimson Dawn area. You have to challenge their Sabacc players to a game and win special chips. On the way back, a group of TIE Fighters will accost you in Akiva’s orbit. After beating them, land at the marked spot in the jungle and help Lando and the Rebels defeat Stormtroopers. Helping Lando will net you two abilities, as well as a chance to unlock others that help with piloting and shooting.

MT-7, the Veteran – location and abilities
- Location: Hidden on Akiva
MT-7, known as The Veteran, is a hidden secret Expert who doesn’t even have a slot in the initial list. Instead, after gathering a few Encrypted Messages from containers found in space, ND-5 will inform you that he can decrypt them after you gather more of them.
After a while, an intel chain will show up, but without a specific goal. You can continue playing the main quest and other activities as normal, until ND-5 informs you that he was able to complete the decryption. The chain will then lead you to a hidden landing pad on Akiva, where you will find MT-7. He will unlock abilities that focus on combat and survival.
