How to switch characters in Spider-Man 2
As you play through the opening of the game, you will eventually unlock the ability to change characters. To do this, swipe left on the Touch Pad to open the FNSM App. This will appear on the right side of your screen, and you will see the option to ‘Switch to Miles’ or ‘Switch to Peter’, depending on which Spidey you are playing at the time. Hold down the Square button to confirm the switch.
While it might sound like there are a bunch of starts and stops with changing characters, the transition is seamless, letting you switch to your preferred character while barely interrupting the flow of the game.
Why you can’t change characters sometimes
During some parts of Spider-Man 2, the ability to switch characters will be locked. You can unlock the option by clearing the specific part you’re at and you will eventually have the freedom to change characters again.
