Will Spider-Man 2 be on PS4?
Unfortunately, no. Spider-Man 2 will not be on PS4. Insomniac Games’ long-awaited sequel will only be playable on one modern console: the PS5. With most modern AAA games steadily becoming exclusive to current-gen platforms, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to fans, as both Xbox and PlayStation have consistently released current-gen-only games over the past few months.
The advanced visuals, sprawling open world, and smooth character transitions that the developers have showcased so far would also likely not function properly if you played the game on the PS4. All the features mentioned earlier require a heavy amount of processing power, which only the PS5’s state-of-the-art system can handle.
Nevertheless, this should still disappoint players who are yet to upgrade to the PS5 since there is currently no way of playing the continuation of Peter Parker and Miles Morales’ story outside of the powerful Sony gaming console.
