In this Spider-Man 2 pre order guide, we discuss what’s up for grabs, and weigh in which edition you should go for.

Pre-orders are now live for the highly anticipated PlayStation exclusive. Marvel’s Spider Man 2 is releasing in October, and those pre-ordering the game now are in for a treat. We’re talking Spidey suits, Venom statues, stickers and more.

Anyone wanting to get involved will have a choice of three different editions: Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Collectors. The sequel is set ten months after Miles Morals, with Peter and Miles returning for some new adventures in New York City. Expect to clash with some of the city’s new and iconic villains, and explore Queens and Brooklyn which are now part of Marvel’s expanded New York.

Below we’ll guide you through each of the three editions to help you make your final choice. Whichever edition you pick, you’ll be getting an early unlock for the Shadow Spider Suit for Miles in three colours. Players will also get an early unlock of the Web Grabber gadget, plus three skill points.

What’s in Marvel’s Spider Man 2 Standard Edition?

For $69.99 from the PlayStation store, this is the edition to go for if you’re looking for a copy of the base game. Without all the bells and whistles, the Standard Edition, is the cheapest edition available with an early unlock for the Shadow Spider Suit for Miles, plus the Web Grabber gadget and three skill points.

What’s in Marvel’s Spider Man 2 Deluxe Edition?

For just $10 more at $79.99, you can get everything that the Standard offers plus a little bit more! This includes 10 unique spidey suits split evenly between Peter and Miles. Alongside that, you also get additional Photo Mode frames and stickers, plus two further Skill Points on top of the three you got with the Standard Edition.

The ten suits have been designed by guest artists, making them truly original and varied.

What’s in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition?

The Collector’s Edition is being exclusively sold via PlayStation Direct in both the US and UK. With such an big fanbase for this game, we’re expecting the Collector’s Edition to sell out ahead of the game’s launch in October.

In the Collector’s Edition, you’ll get a premium quality 19-inch statue depicting Peter and Miles battling the iconic villian Venom. We’re expecting this statue to be a fan favourite, especially considering that Venom is getting his own movie come October. Along with the statue, you’ll get everything that comes with the Deluxe Edition, plus a steel book.

Fans should note that you do not get a physical copy of the game with the Collector’s Edition,but a digital voucher code instead.
