Wondering how to get the Assassin’s Dagger in Remnant 2? If you’re going for a more stealth-oriented build, then the Assassin’s Dagger is a melee weapon that you’re going to want to grab. True to its name, it will be a massive help when it comes to taking down enemies before they even know you’re there, and can even help out with some bosses.
It’s a perfect weapon to go with a Remnant 2 Invader build if you’re making bleed a core part of your damage. And if you’re looking to start a new playthrough with the invader or any other archetype, you’ll want to know how to level up fast in Remnant 2. But for now, let’s take a look at how to get the Assassin’s Dagger in Remnant 2.
How do you get the Assassin’s Dagger in Remnant 2?
To get the Assassin’s Dagger, you need to present Nimue with an Assassin Dagger found during the Fae Council Event. The Assassin’s Dagger (the weapon) and the Assassin Dagger (the quest item) are different items, which can be confusing, but we’ll take you through the process of how to turn one into the other.
First, you want to head to the Council Chamber. This is a location in Losomn which can be reached by using the Magic Quill given to you by the Jester. This event can only happen in the Beatific Palace version of Losomn, so if you find yourself in the other storyline, simply reroll your adventure until you start in the palace.
Once you’re in the Council Chamber, you need to take part in the Fae Council Event. The One True King has been assassinated, and one of the members of the Fae Council is guilty. Explore the area until you reach a mirror with a dark, purple portal. Enter this, and it will take you to an alternate world. Head to the where the Council were in the original world to find their seats empty.
Grab the three keys from the bottom of the council members’ seats and place them in the correct order. Look at the reflection in the mirrored ground to see which key goes in which seat. Once you’ve placed the key, this will open the door to the One True King chambers. On the side of the throne, grab the Assassin’s Seal, and jump behind the throne to grab the Assassin Dagger quest item.
Return to the council where you’ll need to accuse the correct assassin. Your Assassin Dagger will have a coloured jewel, being either teal, red, or purple, as well as a unique symbol. Inspect the dagger and make a note of the colour and symbol, and then inspect the seat of each council member to see which member to accuse. When you make the accusation, there will also be a symbol next to each name, making it easier to see which one you’re accusing.
Make your accusation, and if you’re correct, they will be killed, and you will be rewarded with the Ornate Blade. If you accuse wrongly, or without any proof, the three will begin a boss fight, rewarding you with the Fae Protector Signet.
Once you’ve completed this, head to Nimue’s Retreat and talk to her. She will be able to craft the Assassin Dagger quest item into the Assassin’s Dagger melee weapon.
