Prince of Persia The Lost Crown Architect side quest has you tracking down and solving puzzles scattered across Mount Qaf. The Architect doesn’t give you much to go on, so it’s up to you to track them down. Here, you’ll find all Prince of Persia The Lost Crown Architect puzzle locations and solutions.
Below, we’ve listed the puzzles, locations, and their solutions based on the number assigned to each one on the map. Annoyingly, these numbers don’t show up until you’ve solved a puzzle so rely on the map photos and the quick descriptions we’ve come up with to find the one you need.

Architect puzzles locations and solutions
1 Archer statues puzzle
Location – Just west of the Haven in the Lower City, past the huge lift that runs from the Upper City down to the Depths.
Solution – Shoot an Chakram arrow to the spot where the two archers are aiming their bows.
2 Grass puzzle
Location – Just southwest of the Forest Ruins fast travel spot in the Hyrcanian Forest.
Solution – To solve the puzzle, you’ll need to cut the red grass on each of the five platforms above the puzzle plate.
3 Scholar mural puzzle
Location – Southeast of the Sacred Archives fast travel point in a large chamber with a mural and three scholars standing on blue glyph circles.
Solution – Find a scholar, anyone will do, but there’s one sitting on the ground in the far right of the next room to the east. Use Dimensional Claw to pick him up and return to the puzzle room then place him down on the floor where there’s an empty circle made of blue glyphs – the other three are already occupied. The idea is to match the mural above with four scholars.
4 Shattered monument puzzle
Location – In the centre of the Tower of Silence on a large bridge.
Solution – Move Sargon so that the shattered pieces of monument meet up and form a whole, per the image above.
5 Cross-armed soldier statue puzzle
Location – In a chamber southeast of the Sentinel’s Road fast travel point in the Pit of Eternal Sands.
Solution – This one is a bit tricky. You’ll need to find an enemy that resembles the stone statues above the puzzle plate, i.e. the pharaoh-like ones, then capture them using Dimensional Claw, return to the puzzle, and drop them on the pressure plate where the two sliding blocks meet.
The easiest way to do this is to grab one of the enemies near the Night Temple fast travel point in the Upper City. Check the image above for the exact location of the enemy.
6 Tic-Tac-Toe puzzle
Location – In a chamber in the far southeastern part of the Sunken Harbor.
Solution – Like real-world tic-tac-toe, you need to align three crosses or circles. Shoot or slash the top left wooden square to win and solve the puzzle.
7 Colourful statue puzzle
Location – West of the Soma Tree fast travel point in the Soma Tree area.
Solution – If you read the panel next to the puzzle, you’ll get a major hint. Solving the puzzle involves placing the statues in a certain order and direction on the pillars. You’ll find the two other statues on the level above and one in the right-hand bottom corner of the area. Line them up and face them like in the image above.
8 Mask puzzle
Location – In a chamber in the far southeastern corner of the Depths near the border with the Sunken Harbor.
Solution – Using the sprite that follows you around and provides light in the Depths, jump up and move over each of the two masks on the wall to solve the puzzle.
9 Block puzzle
Location – In the north of the Sacred Archives, west of the Temple of Knowledge fast travel spot.
Solution – In the background of the arena where you fought Master Behnam in the Temple of Knowledge, there’s a mural. It shows the same number and arrangement of blocks as the puzzle, only some are highlighted white while others are blacked out. Move in front of the same blocks at the puzzle to solve it.
One more puzzle?
Once you’ve solved all nine puzzles, return to the Architect in Upper City. Here you’re presented with one final puzzle. Look at the spinning symbols and you’ll see that they match those of the puzzles on the map. To solve the puzzles, you’ll need to hit the symbols in number order from 1 to 9. Arrows are best here for precision as using swords is a bit imprecise and can trigger two symbols at a time.
That should do it for all Prince of Persia The Lost Crown Architect puzzle locations and solutions. Once you’ve wrapped up The Architect quest, why not check out all Lost Warriors locations in the citadel?
