Need to know how to make a spicy sandwich in Pokemon Indigo Disk? The DLC for Scarlet and Violet comes with plenty of new trials you need to complete to fight the Elite Four. One of these is making a delicious sandwich for Crispin.

Cooking isn’t all that you can do in Indigo Disk, there are Blueberry Points to earn through Blueberry Quests, and plenty of Indigo Disk Legendaries to catch and add to your team. However, one of the more challenging aspects can be making a spicy sandwich. If you need help getting this culinary masterpiece together, we’re here to show you how.

How to make a super spicy sandwich

These are the ingredients you’ll need to make the spicy sandwich for Crispin:

• Onion
• Chili Sauce
• Two Jalapenos
• Chorizo
• Mayonnaise
• Mustard

When you get these ingredients, interact with Crispin to begin the sandwich-making trial, then simply select these ingredients while making the sandwich. Place them onto the bottom bread in any way you like, as long as they’re all on there. Then, place the bread on top and you’re ready to go.

After completing the trial, you’ll be whisked into battle with Crispin. Be sure to have your Pokemon ready to go before you talk to him and make the sandwich. If you don’t, you won’t be able to heal your Pokemon besides during the actual battle. When it comes to the Elite Four, we wouldn’t recommend this.

Getting fancy with it

You can actually leave the top of the bread off if you want to. You’ll get a special dialogue from Crispin for doing so, but it won’t affect you winning or losing so long as you have all the ingredients on there.

How to get the spicy sandwich ingredients

To get a hold of these ingredients, you will need to win battles and trade the spoils to get the right ingredients. All of these trainers and fights will be near Crispin. First, fight the trainer offering you Potato Salad for beating her.

Once you’ve got it, there will be a boy who wants the “potatoey stuff that you eat cold”. Trade him the potato salad, and he’ll give you Onion, Cucumber, and Prosciutto.

Next, battle the trainer offering you Mayonnaise for beating her.

After you’ve got the mayonnaise, head to the girl offering you chili sauce or ketchup. You can trade her your cucumber for Chili Sauce.

Across from her is a boy offering three ingredients if you can correctly answer his quiz. The answer is mayonnaise. For your reward, he’ll give you Egg, Olive Oil, and Vinegar.

Next, head over to the three trainers standing together. One will be saying “broader chorizons”. Trade him your egg for his Chorizo. Speak to the girl offering marmalade and mustard next, and give her your vinegar for some Mustard. Finally, speak to the trainer offering to trade you a jalapeno. Give him your olive oil and prosciutto, and you’ll get your Jalapenos.

You should now have all the ingredients you need to make the perfect spicy sandwich. Head back to Crispin and make the sandwich to complete the trial.

How to beat Crispin in Pokemon Indigo Disk

With the trial complete, you can now battle Crispin himself. Crispin is a Fire-type specialist, and all but one of his Pokemon are fire types. Here is Crispin’s Elite Four team:

While Crispin has some fairly powerful Pokemon, he’s not too difficult to take down, and requires a fairly simply strategy. The ideal way to start out is with a Rock-type that can use Rock Slide. This will hit both Talonflame and Rotom, and potentially take out two of his Pokemon on the first turn.

You’ll want at least one Water-type to easily take down his Camerupt, however, he is prone to setting up Sunny Day which will weaken Water-type moves. For this reason, you’ll also want to bring at least one Ground-type Pokemon. We went for a Clodsire, as it has strong defences, and its Poison dual-typing means it isn’t as susceptible to a rogue Solar Beam from Exeggutor.

His biggest challenge is his Blaziken, as its Speed Boost makes it almost impossible to outspeed after a couple of turns, while it also has great coverage. Again, a Water-type or Ground-type should be able to take it down fairly easily, as it doesn’t have great Defense, so as long as you aren’t being hit super effectively, you shouldn’t have too much trouble with it.
