Before you can evolve this Pokemon, you first need to get your hands on Yanma. Yanma became available as part of the Teal Mask DLC. You can find Yanma in the following locations in the Kitakami area.
- Kitakami Road – Fields near the bus stop
- Apple Hills
- Kitakami Wilds
- Southwest Wistful Fields
- Oni Mountain – Center of the region
- Tera Raids
This bug Pokemon will appear mostly during the day and will be levels five to eight if you go to the DLC area during the campaign or levels 55 – 70 if you go there during the postgame.

If your Pokemon doesn’t know Ancient Power, you can go to the summary page, select the change moves option, and make it relearn the move. Once your Yanma knows the move Ancient Power, all you need to do is level it up. This can be done using Rare Candy, EXP Candies, or by battling trainers. As soon as your Pokemon levels up, it should evolve into Yanmega.
Both Pokemon don’t have the greatest learnset but you can teach Yanmega Bug Buzz and Air Slash for greater damage output.
