What is Nature in Pokemon?

Every time a Pokemon is caught by the player, a specific nature is assigned to it at random. In addition to determining the in game character of the Pokemon (for those who care) it also affects the stats of the Pokemon among other things.

According to the nature of the Pokemon, one stat is increased by 10%, while another stat is decreased by the same amount. This makes picking the right nature crucial for competitive Pokemon players.

There are other factors of the games that are affected by the nature of your Pokemon, such as what type of food it likes and more. You can find out all about it in this ultimate Pokemon nature guide.

Quiet

Frigibax, Arctibax, and Baxcalibur eventually get access to some hard hitting special attacks, and that too of multiple types thanks to their ice and dragon hybrid typings. Because of this, opting to focus more on turning your Pokemon into a special sweeper is a viable option.

No nature will help you with this more than the quiet one, which gives a 10% increase to the special attack of your Pokemon. With this, Baxcalibur especially will be able to take out most lower leveled Pokemon with one hit.

The one disadvantage to this nature is that the speed stat is decreased by 10%. Fortunately, the defense and special defense stats of Frigibax, Arctibax, and Baxcalibur are decent enough to ensure they don’t get wiped out before their turns.

Brave

In addition to having high potential for special attack type moves, Baxcalibur especially is a powerhouse when it comes to physical attacking moves. Therefore, many players prefer focusing on making those attacks stronger instead, which completely makes sense.

Giving a 10% increase to the attack stat, players are able to use the many powerful physical moves that Frigibax, Arctibax, and Baxcalibur unlock to their highest potential. Not only that, but throw in Dragon Dance and you have the potential to cause untold mayhem on the battlefield.

Of course, with a 10% increase in one stat, there’s also a 10% decrease in another stat, and the decreasing stat in this instance is the speed one. Fortunately, setting up with Dragon Dance against the first Pokemon of any tough trainer will make it so your Pokemon goes first for the rest of the battle.
