In keeping with live service game tradition, Once Human has adopted a seasonal structure, though it diverts somewhat from the norm borrowing a little from traditional MMOs with Rust-like base building and Conan-style story progression. The big difference is that Once Human features regular wipes that include fresh seasonal challenges and content. Since it can all be a bit confusing to navigate, here’s a rundown of how Once Human’s seasons operate.
How do Once Human’s seasons work
Once Human’s servers operate on a seasonal basis. Every six weeks is a new season called a Scenario. Scenarios offer new missions, modes, and events. At the end of a season, your character is deleted, though you can carry over resources via Eternaland, a between-server permanent realm that can house currencies, recipes, custom building blueprints, and more. When a new season starts, you carry all these with you, except for gear and memetic unlocks. You’ll need to re-level, repeat quests, go through the story, and explore the map as if you were starting the game for the first time.
What Items carry over between seasons?
Here’s list of what items, recipes, currencies, and so on carry over between seasons in Once Human:
Currency | Starchroms, Crystgins, Mitsuko’s Marks, Stellar Planula, and Sproutlets. |
Gear Blueprints | Blueprint Fragments, Weapon Accessories, and Mods. |
Furniture Formulas | Recipes obtained from crates. Excludes recipes tied to memetics. |
Cosmetics | Expressions, Poses, and Namecards. |
House Blueprints | All custom house blueprints. |
Story Progress | Streamlined story and quests in subsequent seasons. |
Friends List | Friends List carries over to the next season. |
Sometimes your guns and ammo can carry over, but there’s a limit to how much so some players don’t walk in overpowered. You will start at level 1, so any guns requiring higher a higher character level or higher-tiered ammo types won’t work.
