One of the first decisions you’ll make in Once Human is whether or not you want to play on a PvP or PvE server for the season. The decision is important for a few several, mainlt that PvE servers have no player versus player combat, while Once Human’s PvP servers has dynamic PvP events. Here are the differences between PvE and PvP servers in Once Human.
Once Human PvP vs PvE server differences
Gere are the key similarities and differences between the PvE and PvP servers:
PvE Servers | Both | PvP Servers |
---|---|---|
Prime War world bosses + various difficulties | Chaos Mode toggle PvP flagging | Echo Stones and Territory Purification |
PvP Events like the cargo jellyfish, and fishing events | Workshop Defence PvP events | |
Boss spawns at POIs | Warband PvP Zone content | |
Both server types will get toggle PvP mode if you want to engage with that. You can hold P to enter Chaos Mode, which flags you manually for PvP. You have a timer before that runs out. Outside of that, there are PvP missions you’ll find on the map, typically red icons to indicate active PvP events on the map. In addition, PvP players can expect to fight some boss-type creature as they explore the map.
Thanks to the unique content, PvP servers do get more. In fact, one of the resources called Starchrom comes from the Echo Stones PvP event. When this is active, Echo Stones will fall from the sky randomly around the map. When they drop, the area around them automatically flags you for PvP. This means that it’s a warzone for players fighting over it. The aim is to return it to your base without fast travelling and then purify it at your base for a reward. Players can also attack your base while these events are active. PvE players can experience similar purification events, but they’ll only defend against monsters.
There are also the Workshop events. Players can perform major workshop projects that flag their base for PvP for some more home defence-type content. PvP players also get late-season Warband content. Parts of the map will become active for guilds to fight over. Pulling this off awards late-game resources to use for the guild’s crafting. PvE servers will not get this content.
PvE servers get world boss events called Prime War. These spawn various world bosses of different levels and difficulty around the map. When these enemies are defeated, you’ll get exclusive rewards. It’s the equivalent of the Warband PvP mode. The bosses also get stronger the later into the season you progress.
