How to get the Lethal Rabbit Deviation in Once Human

Though you’ll steadily pick up Deviations as you take on quests and explore the map, some can be pretty elusive and hard to come by if you don’t know where to look. Among them is the Lethal Rabbit, who you can let loose into your territory to hunt down animals and gather up meat and hide.

We’ll walk you through how to a Lethal Rabbit, though, be warned, expect a grind as picking up this little critter doesn’t come easy. If you’re after other Deviations, check out how to get Growshroom and Rain Man.

Where to find the Lethal Rabbit

To get the Lethal Rabbit, you’ll need to hunt and skin rabbits out in the open world. Each rabbit has a small chance to drop the Deviation, so it’s very much a case of crossing your fingers and grinding away until you nab it. For us, we farmed our way through roughly 25 rabbits before the Deviation dropped, so hopefully you can expect the same on your end.

Once you’ve shot a rabbit dead, make sure to approach the corpse relatively quickly to avoid a despawn and press F to skin the animal. Though it’ll take time, you’ll amass a huge stock of rabbit meat, you can either cook up or cure at the meat drier for on-the-go sustenance.

Where to farm rabbits in Once Human

Though you’ll bump into the floppy-eared creatures pretty much everywhere when you explore, they do congregate in specific areas, including beaches for reasons beyond us. We can’t be surprised though given Once Human’s rampant incongruences and supernatural slant. It’s the least of our problems.

We had particularly good luck finding rabbits along the southern coast of the Broken Delta region. I’ve highlighted several spots in the image above. One is on the beach immediately south of the Sunbury Middle School. The next is just west of there and near a jetty that juts out into the sea. The last spot is on a hilly field just southwest of the Waterfall Plaza.

How to use the Lethal Rabbit

Once you’ve secured the Lethal Rabbit, head back to your base and deposit it in an Isolated Securement Unit. Do you best to make it happy by ticking off its favoured securement environment criteria, which includes having Red Light (install a red light nearby), a Low Temperature (place a fridge near the Securement Unit), and Electricity (hook up the unit to a power source, like a Solar Generator).

Once the Lethal Rabbit’s Deviant Power hits 30, it will automatically activate and start gathering meat and rawhide from animals loitering near your base. Remember to periodically interact with the Isolated Securement Unit to grab what the rabbit drops off.
