The Thanksgiving event for NBA 2K24 MyTEAM is finally here. 2K doesn’t host a ton of themed events during the year, but this is a major one that players will certainly enjoy. While they’re getting a bit of holiday from work and school, they can load into NBA 2K24 and make use of that time to grind things out and reap some very useful rewards. Here’s what we know about it.

NBA 2K24 Thanksgiving Event Rewards

All NBA 2K24 MyTeam players who complete the themed mural before the time period runs out on the Thanksgiving event will get an unsellable Diamond Player pack. This is guaranteed to give them one of the 36 Diamond Players that the developers have included in MyTEAM up to this point.

This includes:

• Majestic LeBron James
• Freaky Giannis Antetokounmpo, 
• Legendary Path Reward Shaquille O’Neal

To do this, you just have to play the game. By earning wins in MyTEAM, you can collect events to put on the mural and continue filling it up. You earn Thanksgiving packs after every single win (not including Challenges, Triple Threat Online: Co-Op Party mode, and Play with Friends), and then you use those to complete the mural and unlock the diamond.

It’s not often that a free diamond card comes around in MyTEAM. NBA 2K24 is offering a rare chance to get a diamond player without a lot of effort. You just have to play the game as you would and over the next few days, complete the mural. What’s more, it’s almost unprecedented to be able to get a diamond that you missed out on, like the Season 1 Kyrie Irving card. If you didn’t earn that from the prior season, this is a rare chance to make up for your oversight. Take advantage of this event, especially since it’s so limited.

Not to worry if you pull a diamond you already have, which is certainly possible given the fact that there are only 36. Say you earned the Majestic King James and then unlocked it. The second one wouldn’t be helpful. However, you can send that card in the Exchange and get something else, which means this event is useful for everyone, even if you have a lot of diamonds in your lineup.

The NBA 2K24 MyTEAM Thanksgiving Event begins on November 22. It will run through November 26th at 11:59pm PT. At that point, all rewards and challenges will go away. Be sure to take advantage of the event as it’s only around for a very limited time.
