How to screen in NBA 2K24

Screens are an incredibly useful tool to have in your bag when running offensive plays in NBA 2K24. If executed correctly, a screen should create extra room for your ball handler, which, in turn, should lead to easier point-scoring opportunities in and around the basket.

The most common time to call for a screen is when you are in control of the ball in the three-point zone, as this will allow you enough space to execute the resulting play.

Here are the steps to follow if you’re looking to call for a screen in NBA 2K24:

  • Hold L1 (PlayStation) or LB (Xbox) whilst in control of the ball handler. This will automatically move a teammate into position to set up a screen.
  • Once your teammate is in position, press L3 (PlayStation) or LS (Xbox) to have the screener switch sides.
  • Press R1 (PlayStation) or RB (Xbox) to choose how you want your screener to finish the play.

However, if you wish to select a specific teammate to screen for you, then you will have to follow these steps:

  • Tap L1 (PlayStation) or LB (Xbox) whilst in control of the ball handler. A series of icons will appear above your teammates, select the button that corresponds to the player you wish to set the screen.
  • Once your teammate is in position, press L3 (PlayStation) or LS (Xbox) to have the screener switch sides.
  • Press R1 (PlayStation) or RB (Xbox) to choose how you want your screener to finish the play.

If you wish to cancel your screen after calling for it, then you can do so by pressing L1 or LB a second time as the screener begins to move into position.

That is everything you need to know about how to call for a screen in NBA 2K24.
