If you’re wondering if Mortal Kombat 1 has a day one patch, we’re going to go over everything you need to know right here.

Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest game being released by Warner Bros Gaming, and having been developed by NetherRealm Studios will mark the 11th mainline entry in the MK franchise. With many of today’s recent game launches, we’ve seen day one patches become fairly mainstream. However, every once in a blue moon we don’t see this, so could MK1 be the lucky game to receive this treatment?

Does Mortal Kombat 1 have a day one patch?

Honestly, it seems unlikely that Mortal Kombat 1 will ship without a day one patch. With an early access start time scheduled for a few days time, it’s likely that an early doors update will ship with the game. Alongside that, with fighting games especially, there’s likely to be a fair slew of balance adjustments and networking issues that need to be ironed out as the game launches.

We can say with a pretty fair confidence that there’s probably going to be a day one patch for Mortal Kombat 1. With the download size looking like it’s going to eclipse 100GB in most cases – a day one patch is only going to add to the time taken before gamers can get into the game. However, a preload seems extremely likely for Mortal Kombat 1, so we can expect this to alleviate much of the load.

When is the next Mortal Kombat 1 update?

While it would be nice to answer this question so soon, we’re yet to see the actual game release just yet. Despite this, we’re going to be taking a quick guess as to whether or not we’re going to see an early update release for Mortal Kombat 1.

As mentioned prior in our discussion of a day one patch – we think that there’s likely going to be updates released for NetherRealm’s latest game. We don’t know when exactly they’ll come, but within the first few weeks of the game’s launch for sure.
