Monster Hunter Rise – How to Farm Dragonite Ore

In Monster Hunter Rise, Dragonite Ore is one of the first higher rarity ores that is not readily available. You will begin to require this Ore as you approach the Rarity 3 weapons and armors and for various other uses. This can be frustrating if your upgrade path is locked by a lack of Dragonite Ore.

Where to Find Dragonite Ore in Monster Hunter Rise

The Lava Caverns is the first area where you can reliably farm Dragonite Ore. You can unlock the Lava Caverns for the first time either through the 3-star Hub Quests or the 4-star Village Quests. Dragonite Ore has a Rarity 4, so it cannot be found in any of the lower-level areas.

To farm for Dragonite Ore, either pick a monster hunting quest with that location or head out on an Expedition to explore the area. 

Once you are there, head to your map and check the icons for both Blue and White Mining Outcrops. 

Head on over to the marked Mining Outcrops and interact with them to have a chance at collecting some Dragonite Ore. 

Note that these outcrops will respawn in 3-minute intervals, so you can keep at it for as long as you want. Plus, when you are out on an expedition, upsurges may occur and increase the number of Mining Outcrops available.

Alternate Locations for Mining Dragonite Ore

Luckily, you will not have to keep returning to the Lava Caverns for farming Dragonite Ore. As you unlock the Higher Rank versions of maps, all of them will undergo a material rarity upgrade. This means that you can find Dragonite Ore even from the Shrine Ruins when your Hunter Rank is high enough and you are tackling 6-7 Star quests. A complete list of High-Rank levels that drop Dragonite Ore is as follows:

• Shrine Runes (HR)
• Flooded Forest (HR)
• Frost Islands (HR)
• Sandy Plains (HR)
• Lava Caverns (HR)

Collecting and farming natural resources is as important as hunting monsters for progression in Monster Hunter Rise. Dragonite Ore is one such resource that players might find themselves lacking. Luckily, you can farm a ton of these from the Lava Caverns that you will be unlocking fairly early on and their spawns in High Rank maps will ensure that you don’t run into any further shortages.
