Is Meet Your Maker single player? While this hot new build-and-raid FPS from Behaviour Interactive – which launched on PS Plus on April 4– is undoubtedly a blast to play in a group, can you play Meet Your Maker solo?

The latest title from the Dead By Daylight developers, every single level in Meet Your Maker is designed by the players. You must raid enemy bases to loot their GenMat – a precious resource – and escape with it in tow, vital for unlocking some of the Meet Your Maker trophies. Here are the details on whether you can play Meet Your Maker single player.

Is there a Meet Your Maker single player mode?

Meet Your Maker single player - a lone player rushes towards a stronghold

While you can play Meet Your Maker as a solo player, there isn’t a dedicated single player mode. This isn’t too much of a surprise thanks to the nature of the game, so you’re free to choose how you approach it, whether as a lone-wolf raider or finding safety in numbers.

There are pros and cons to each style of play, of course.  Deciding to go it alone is more dangerous, depending entirely on your own skills to keep you alive, but it can be a more focused experience without teammates to trip you up.

Grouping up puts less pressure on yourself and multiplies your effective firepower, but also leads to a dividing of loot and less direct control over how you approach Meet Your Maker’s many challenges.

If you do prefer a focused single player challenge, the aforementioned trophies and achievements list has some optional objectives to work on. And if single player turns out not to be your thing, you can cast a specific net for online allies by finding out is Meet Your Maker crossplay?

Meet Your Maker future plans

Whether it’s single player or multiplayer, you’ll have plenty to look forward to in Meet Your Maker. Behaviour Interactive clearly know what they want players to get out of this game, and have outlined a Meet Your Maker post-launch Roadmap for DLC and updates. If you get a kick out of Meet your Maker single player, or want to take on its challenges with friends, you’ll have content coming your way for some time yet.
