The Madden 25 release date is right around the corner. Players are loving Madden 24 right now, but there’s still a limited amount of time they will play it. As is the nature of all sports games, the yearly release model means one game can only last one year before it becomes secondary to a newer one. That will lead Madden 24 right into Madden 25, which may or may not be called that. Whatever it’s called, it is coming very soon to supplant the current edition. When is that going to be?
Madden 25 release date prediction
Madden 25, whether it’s called that or not, is expected to arrive in August of 2024. This follows the same trend that all Madden games have in the past. The NFL season begins kicking into high gear around that time, so EA Sports comes in right before then to capitalize. This has been a tried and true method for the history of Madden, and they’re unlikely to change it.
There is no confirmation that Madden 25 will be its name. In fact, it’s probable that it’s not. Madden 25, technically speaking, came out in 2013 to mark the 25-year anniversary. It had Detroit Lions star Barry Sanders on the cover. There wasn’t a ton of planning ahead done here, but the bill has officially come due.

Madden 25 will all but certainly be named something else. The original version was called “Madden NFL 25” but, like all Madden games, was shortened to Madden 25 by pretty much everyone. Thus, removing the NFL from the next title and making it strictly “Madden 25” won’t work. They will have to include the year or something, and “Madden 2025” makes the most sense, even if the title doesn’t match the rest of the franchise. They could also introduce a word to the title to differentiate, but “Madden 2025” makes more sense.
Whatever the title ends up being for Madden 25, it is expected to release next summer in advance of the NFL’s preseason and training camp.
When is Madden 25 in 2024 coming out?
The official release date has not yet been revealed, nor the official title, but it will be out on a Friday in August, 2024. That means you have until then to continue enjoying Madden 24. There will potentially be beta versions earlier and it’s very likely that an early access period is given, but the official release date will be on a Friday presumably in mid-August just like Madden 24’s release date.
You have roughly six months or so to continue playing Madden 24. Even when the regular season and playoffs end in February, there’s still time to enjoy MUT sets and more updates as the game goes right up to the next one’s arrival. The developers ensure that Madden players won’t be left in the dust for any amount of time.

Madden 25 will likely have a modern star on the cover. The older game was a celebration of the franchise, so they added an NFL legend. That more than likely won’t be the case this time, but there are plenty of good options for the next title:
