Lords of The Fallen how to switch weapons

To switch weapons, use the up and down keys on the D-pad of your controller, or the left Ctrl button if you’re on mouse and keyboard. Typically, you’ll be switching from your melee to your ranged option, which is up on the D-pad. There are a couple of simple caveats to keep in mind though.

Firstly, you need to have another weapon equipped. You can equip weapons by opening up your inventory and interacting with one of the open weapon slots with A/Square/E depending on the peripheral input you’re using.

Secondly, your ranged options have two types of attack. For a quick attack, just left click or hit the left bumper (L1). To aim down sights, hold the right mouse button or the left trigger (L2).

Third, all ranged weapons consume either ammunition or mana, depending on the type of weapon. The yellow segmented bar represents ammunition and blue bar your mana. Keep this in mind, as it means your ranged attacks are a limited resource.

Finally, switching weapons doesn’t need to apply to shields. As long as the weapon you’re currently wielding isn’t two-handed, you can carry a shield alongside it, rather than needing to switch.
