Wondering how to kick in Lords of The Fallen? It’s a simple move, yet a surprisingly fun and effective one. Kicking can be a great utility tool for dealing with enemies in a variety of situations when playing Hexwork’s new Souls-like. But how do you execute a kick?
Here, we’re going to quickly cover how to kick in Lords of The Fallen. If you’re also wondering how to upgrade the Umbral Lantern or how to switch weapons, we can help out on those queries too.

How to perform a kick in Lords of The Fallen
To perform a kick, lock onto the target you want to attack, and press the left and right mouse buttons (L1 + R1) together on controller, or left shift + left click on mouse and keyboard. This will perform a kick move. Keep in mind that you still need to be close enough for the move to connect.
Kicks can be a good way to create a distance between you and an opponent, as the animation will give you a moment to reposition. Where they particularly shine though is near ledges or high places. If you can secure a good kick here, you can knock enemies from ledges, knocking them down to whatever’s below. In many cases the fall damage, or lack of floor if it’s just a pit, will kill the enemy outright, but even if it doesn’t they’ll usually take significant enough damage for a followup plunging attack to finish them off.
That’s how to kick in Lords of The Fallen. We found it to be a pretty useful skill in our playthrough for our Lords of The Fallen review. If you’re still catching up on more of the game’s basics, why not check out how to soulflay your enemies?
