To jump, you need to press the X button while sprinting. If you’re playing on Xbox, you need to press the A button while sprinting. After doing so, your character will perform a small leap intended to help you cross gaps in the environment.

While the jump button and function don’t grant you a ton of freedom, it is useful for reaching places that seem like they’re too far away/ Platforming in soulslike games has typically been like this, but it is still a shame to see such a limited function in Lords of the Fallen.

You always need to sprint before jumping, which can make things a little tricky if you don’t have a long enough platform to use up before the ledge. Seeing as how jump is mapped to one of the main buttons, it does make it much easier to perform than if it required you to click in the analogue stick. While it probably isn’t the intended function of jumping, you can use it to run past and escape from some enemies, since the small leap will propel you forward and hopefully out of reach of any incoming swing from behind.
