  • You can acquire it by killing cowboy skeletons in the desert or pirate skeletons on beaches
  • You can also sometimes find some by looting chests, although this is fairly rare

But it also happens to be one of the most difficult resources to obtain. Luckily though, there is a method you can employ to farm blast powder, and in this article, we’ll walk you through step-by-step how to easily get blast powder in LEGO Fortnite.

What is Blast Powder?

Blast powder is a resource in LEGO Fortnite that is used mainly for advanced crafting recipes. The most common use for blast powder is dynamite. However, it’s also needed to make the grappler gun, boom barrels and more advanced gear such as the small/large thruster and activation switch.

There are a few different methods to get blast powder in LEGO Fortnite. The first method is to go to the Dry Valley desert biome and kill cowboy skeletons, who can be recognised by their cowboy hats and yellow bandanas. To find these enemies, you need to head over to the valley at night. During the nighttime, the desert isn’t hot so you won’t need to worry about heat, but you should take some torches with you for light.

When you arrive at the desert, simply explore around for a few minutes and you should come across a group of skeletons. They don’t hit very hard but can overwhelm you in numbers. Just avoid their swing strikes, come back with your own attacks and you should be able to deal with them pretty easily. Make sure you’ve got a decent weapon to take them down with too.

These enemies drop one blast powder more often than not. So, one night of skeleton killing should give you enough blast powder to use for the foreseeable future. However, should you need any more, you just need to repeat the above process a few more times.

If you’re not near a desert biome, you can also head to the beach to take out pirate skeletons. These similarly only spawn at night and tend to be found in groups which makes killing them a little tricker. Furthermore, the drop rate tends to be a little worse than the cowboy pirates, so this method is a little less efficient.

Alternatively, you can find blast powder hidden around the map in chests. However, the spawn rate is completely random, and overall it’s the least efficient way of collecting blast powder. So unless you’re actively avoiding combat, killing the cowboy skeletons is the best way to go.

Ultimately, blast powder is one of those materials that you can never have enough of, so farming a large quantity every now and then is a good idea. The most efficient method is to to a desert biome, but failing that a beach biome works just as well. As long as you prepare yourself for some light combat, you shouldn’t run into any trouble, and you’ll be able to collect blast powder to your heart’s content.
