As you prepare for the grand wedding, where both nobles and common folk will be in attendance, you’ll encounter an important requirement: your tough armour just won’t do. To blend in with the upper crust, you’ll need to wear something more refined and suitable for a noble. Here’s how you can get the right wedding clothes and meet the necessary requirements to progress through the Wedding Crashers quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
What clothing do you need for the wedding?
While there isn’t a specific outfit designated for the wedding, there are several important criteria you must meet to proceed:
- You must not wear any armour – helmets, cuirasses, pauldrons, and other combat gear are forbidden.
- Your total Charisma must be at least 17 when wearing your wedding attire.
- You need to wear clothing on your torso, legs, and feet.
- A hat may be necessary. The tailor won’t approve of your outfit until a hat is added. However, this step can be skipped if your other pieces match the above criteria.
Once you’ve put together an outfit, check in with the tailor to confirm whether you meet the requirements for the wedding attire.
Where to get wedding clothes
Regardless of whether you choose to follow Blacksmith Radovan’s or Miller Kreyzl’s path, neither will allow you to attend the wedding without proper attire. They’ll direct you to Tailor Bartoshek in Troskowitz. When you speak with Bartoshek, you’ll see an option in the dialogue, “Can I go to the wedding like this?” He will either approve of your outfit or suggest changes. If you don’t already have the right clothes, don’t worry, there are a few ways to gather what you need.
If you’ve purchased the Gold Edition of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’re already prepared for the wedding. The Gold Edition comes with a stylish hunter’s outfit that immediately boosts Henry’s Charisma to the required threshold. You can find the outfit in a storage chest at the nearest inn.
Buying from Bartoshek
Your most reliable option is to visit Bartoshek’s shop in Troskowitz. He’s located on the eastern side of town and can be found during regular business hours. Once you speak with him, he will either praise or critique your current outfit and offer new pieces for purchase to improve your Charisma.
Of course, everything in his shop costs Groschen, but some lower-priced items can still give your Charisma a boost. If you’re low on money, you can earn some quick cash by using your favourite money-making methods, such as blacksmithing. Haggling with Bartoshek can help lower the cost, and you can also trade unwanted items in your inventory to reduce the price further.
As you shop, keep an eye on your Charisma stat. If an item improves your Charisma, it will appear blue; if it lowers it, it will turn red. Mix and match your clothing until you hit the 17 Charisma mark.
If you manage to assemble an outfit that gives you exactly 17 Charisma, it’s important to keep yourself clean. Charisma will drop if you’re dirty or covered in blood, so wash yourself at a trough just before advancing the quest to ensure your Charisma stays high enough for entry into the wedding.
Getting clothes from quests or looting
If you’re looking for alternative ways to assemble your wedding outfit, you can complete various quests that reward you with items that improve your Charisma. For example, completing the Mutt side quest grants you a pair of spectacles that provide a Charisma boost. Completing the Handsome Charlie task earns you a cap that also increases your Charisma.
While quest rewards are useful, they may not always give you the complete wedding outfit or the necessary Charisma boost. Therefore, buying from Bartoshek is generally the best option. But for those feeling desperate, another approach is to kill an NPC. Find someone who’s wearing nice clothing, then loot their body for the items you need. Just be careful to avoid being seen or caught, and make sure to clean the blood from the items afterwards.
With these steps, you’ll be ready to attend the wedding in style and charm your way through the event.
