If you go for a spot of exploring around the Rocktower Pond in the Trosky region near the start of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, there’s a good chance you’ll stumble across the Drowner’s Map. It’s likely the first of its kind you’ll find and offers a quick introduction to the many maps you’ll find in the sequel.

If you chat with the innkeeper at Zhelejov, he’ll mention a water goblin and a potential treasure. Once you’ve found the map, you’ll get a roughly drawn sketch pointing to the location of a treasure. The author’s mapmaking skills aren’t the most refined, which can make finding the spot tricky. In this guide, we’ll walk you where to find the Drowner’s Map itself and the treasure location in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

Where to find the Drowner’s Map in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To find the Drowner’s Map, head to the Bathing Spot point of interest in the southwestern corner of the Rocktower Pond as marked on the map image above. It’s just east of the Rocktower Pond fast travel point. Here, you’ll find a pier strewn with clothing with two soggy bodies floating in the water nearby. Loot the grey sack on the pier to get the Drowner’s Map. At this point, you can head back to the Innkeeper to let him know about the bodies and he’ll arrange for them to be buried.

To find the Drowner’s Map treasure location, you’ll need to head to the southern shore of the Rocktower Pond, west of the herbswoman Bozhena’s hut. Follow the path lining the shore west until you’re not too far from the Water Goblin’s Hut point of interest on the opposite shore. The path will come to an end here, but continue on following the water, until you come to a large rock drooping into the water with trees growing on top.

At this point, a discovery called the Water Goblin’s Treasure should pop, signaling you’re in the right place. Head into the water and check below the rock to find an earthenware jar. This is the treasure the map points to and inside you’ll find 125 groschen. It’s not a fortune, but if you’re early in the game, it’s a genuine boon until you establish a steady inflow of coin.
