Can you play Zenless Zone Zero multiplayer?

From launch, Zenless Zone Zero does support multiplayer, however, at the time of writing, Zenless Zone Zero has just launched, meaning multiplayer functionality is currently limited to only a couple of game modes. Players will be able to use multiplayer in the game’s Arcade mode and minigames, but those are the only multiplayer modes currently available in the game.

It’s been confirmed that a Battle mode is in development for the game, and this will also feature multiplayer support, but we unfortunately don’t know when we can expect this mode to be released fully.

Zenless Zone Zero producer Zhenyu Li has stated in an interview with MMORPG that “As the game proceeds to be updated, more multiplayer features will likely be added to Zenless Zone Zero. Currently, treat this gacha game as mostly a single-player experience.”

With the confirmation of more multiplayer features on the way, fans will certainly be drawing up their wishlists on what they want from the game. Undoubtedly, the top of that list will feature a completely open world to explore in multiplayer, but given the current state of the game, we feel like this will be a very long time coming, if it ever does arrive.
