If you climb up the scaffolding behind the Mussolini poster at the end of the Belvedere Courtyard in Vatican City, then hop onto the balcony and through the open window, you’ll come across a curious chest of draws with a model of a church. There is a lever Indy can pull that causes the puzzle box to clunk and whir, suggesting there’s more than meets the eye though at first glance nothing seems to happen. Grabbing the Cleaning Note on top of the puzzle box unlocks the House of God mystery, which tasks you with solving this very puzzle.
Unlike some of the tougher puzzles in the game, this one is relatively straightforward if you know where to look. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to solve the House of God puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
Indiana Jones House of God puzzle solution
To solve the House of God puzzle, you’ll first need to pull the lever to the right. This will unlock a compartment on the left-hand side of the chest of draws where you’ll find the Relief Medallion. Pick it up then pull the lever to the left to open a panel on the right side. Place the Relief Medallion in the circle-shaped slot on the right. The box will clunk away, unlocking a second, lower panel on the left side that contains the Golden Chalice.

Solving the puzzle get you the Vatican Relics Exploration Book. Captured by VideoGamer
Pick up the Golden Chalice then place it on the base in front of the church model in the middle of the puzzle box. This opens a new compartment on the front that contains The Vatican Relics Exploration Book. This will pinpoint the location of several relics on your map, which you’ll need to find to complete the Riddles of the Ancients Discovery. Grab he book to complete the House of God mystery.
