In FIFA 23, you usually score a header from a cross or a corner scenario. But other game mechanics put you in a situation where you need to head the ball like a deflection or when you flick the ball up using a skill move.

Having a tall striker or defender who can jump well and has good physical attributes, affects the range of headers a player can attempt. At the same time, Heading Accuracy focuses on how skillfully a player can direct a header into the net.
