Repairing is a key part of maintaining your gear in Once Human, which will naturally degrade with use and over time. If you start crafting weapons you really want to use, alongside armor sets and tools, repairing is a must to keep them in tip-top condition. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to repair, weapons, armor, and tools in Once Human.

How to repair armor and weapons in Once Human

To repair armor and weapons in Once Human, you will need to us a gear bench. Depending on the rarity and tier of the item, it may need a different bench. Tier 1 and 2 items need the basic gear bench, while tier 3 and 4 gear needs an intermediate gear bench. Tier 5 needs the final level of the bench. This is the same as gun blueprints. Once you’re at the right bench, click on the repair tab and select the item you want to repair. Typically, you need parts and an ingot that match the tier of the item you are repairing. Repairing is always cheaper than crafting an item from scratch.

When you find gear and weapons from chests, then those pieces of gear don’t technically belong to you and can’t be repaired. It will eventually break and there’s no way to maintain it. Only items you’ve crafted can be repaired.

Can you repair pickaxes in Once Human?

No, unfortunately, it’s not possible to repair pickaxes in Once Human. When a pickaxe breaks, there’s no way to salvage it or patch it up for re-use. Instead, you’ll need to craft a replacement from scratch. Fortunately, pickaxes aren’t too expensive to craft, requiring only a few ingots of the tier that you’re on and other easy-to-get common materials.
