Redeeming Fortnite codes is a relatively simple process. Epic Games made the code redemption straightforward, and by using it, you can add cosmetic items and V-Bucks to your account. However, Fortnite codes cannot be redeemed in the game, as this process has to be done on Epic’s website. Besides cosmetic items, we’ll also show you how to redeem V-Bucks codes. If you want to obtain items directly from the shop, however, check out the latest Fortnite Item shop updates.
How to redeem codes in Fortnite
To redeem Fortnite codes, you will have to open the game’s website. You can do this on any device, from a PC to your mobile phone. Before you begin, make sure you are logged into the correct Epic Games account. This step is crucial, so make sure you double-check it. If you have multiple accounts, this can be a problem, so log in with the right account before you begin the process.
You may also send Fortnite codes as gifts to your friends. In this case, your friend will need to log in to their account through internet browser.
If you have a code for an in-game reward in Fortnite, you need to redeem it on fortnite.com/redeem. This process is the same for all systems and here are all the steps you need to take:
- Open fortnite.com/redeem and click your name in the upper right corner
- Enter the cosmetic item code (these are case-sensitive)
- Click the Redeem button
Once you confirm the alpha-numeric code redemption, the cosmetic item will be added to your Fortnite account. If the code is valid, you will get a prompt to accept the item. To see it and use it in your Epic account, launch Fortnite and check your locker. Using this method, you can redeem various cosmetics, from outfits to emotes.
If you’d like to try it out, check out how to get the Nanner Ringer emote, which is obtained through Fortnite’s redeem codes. Keep an eye on new codes that are mostly released by content creators on X (formerly Twitter). You can get XP, free skins and cosmetics, and free rewards for a limited time in modes like LEGO Fortnite with these access codes.
How to redeem a V-Bucks gift card in Fortnite
In case you have a V-Bucks code and want to redeem it, the process is slightly different, but you still need to do it on the Epic Games website. Here is how to redeem a Fortnite V-Bucks card:
- Open fortnite.com/vbuckscard
- Press the Get Started button
- Enter the code from your V-Bucks card
- Press the Next button
- Choose the platform you play Fortnite on
- Press the Confirm button
If you are on PC, you may also redeem Fortnite codes through the Epic Games Launcher. Additionally, some codes may be available for redemption in the PlayStation and Xbox Store from Sony and Microsoft respectively.
Can the Fortnite codes expire?
Generally, Fortnite codes do not expire. This means that you’ll be able to use every code whenever you want, and you won’t need to worry about missing the drop. If you’re a newer player, this fact will be music to your ears. The fact that most codes never expire means that you’ll be able to grab free skins from years ago!
That being said, there are a few codes with expiry dates. For instance, the Zero Point Comics code will expire on May 1st, 2025. The Darkfire Bundle will expire in 2029 and the Deep Freeze Bundle will expire in November 2028.
