Without wasting any more time, let’s talk about how to delete your account and what you need to keep in mind when doing so, no matter what platform you play Fortnite on.

What Happens When You Delete Your Fortnite Account?

It may be due to spending too much time in-game or making too many purchases from the store, but whatever the reason, it’s perfectly normal that you decide to delete your Fortnite account. There are just a few things to consider before making your final decision.

Since you are using the Epic Games Launcher to play Fortnite, you actually – knowingly or not – have an Epic Games account. And when you delete your Fortnite account, it is actually your Epic account. As a result, all data and player progress (including Battle Pass) associated with your Epic Games account will be deleted.

Finally, deleting a Fortnite account will also reset all purchases made on that account. In other words, once you delete your account, you will no longer be able to access the cosmetics you purchased, even if you previously spent millions of dollars. Or you cannot transfer it to another account.

We are aware that all of this makes deleting your Fortnite account difficult. But if you still need a break, do not give up and follow the steps below to delete your account.
