If you’re trying to activate the power equipment in Silo Alpha, you’re going to need to head in there prepared, or there’s a good you’ll fail this optional objective. You’ll need the Vortex Generator grenades before entering, and need at minimum 5 of them. Otherwise, it won’t work. Here’s a closer look at how to activate the power equipment in Once Human.

Activating power equipment in Once Human

You’ll need Vortex Generator grenades to turn the power on. If you don’t have any of these on you then you can craft them at a Synthesis Bench. Make sure you have the memetic unlocked called Vortex Generators. It is a tier 4 memetic, which requires you to have unlocked the Synthesiss Bench, Explosive Throwables Claymore Mines, and then Vortex Generators.

Once you have the memetic unlocked, you can craft the grenades using the following materials at the Synthesis Bench:

  • 5x Steel ingots
  • 8x Refined Parts
  • 8x Fireproof Plastics
  • 5x Electronic Parts
  • 6x Stardust Source
  • 2x Mixed Explosives
    • 10x Sulfur
    • 5x Charcoal
    • 2x Boiled Water
    • 5x Acid

You’ll need to craft at least five of these grenades as there are five power equipment points to activate in the Alpha Silo. Alternatively, the Stun Baton worsk. You can get the blueprint by opening Mythical crates in landmarks in the Chalk Peak region. Make sure to do this if you want a cheaper alternative to activate the power equipment.  We tested this with ranged weapons with the power surge mods and it didn’t power the equipment. The Vortex  Grenades are the most reliable method.

Once all five power equipment are active, you then need to fight the big boss along with more mutant enemies that spawn in. Defeat the creatures for some bonus loot and Acid.
