Acid is an extremely resource in Once Human that’s used for a variety of crucial recipes, namely the production of ammo and weapons. Given the glut of supernatural enemies, rival players, dungeons, and more situations where a gun is needed, you’ll invariably end up short on Acid sooner rather than later. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the best Acid farms we’ve come across.
Before we dive into specific locations, we recommend crafting a few Preserved Deviate Chops, which grant 50% more Acid per Deviant kill, and popping one before you start farming. This will significantly increase the rate at which you get Acid. You’ll need Meat, Peppercorn and Salt to craft the Chops. The recipe is unlocked via the Cooking III memetic.
Here are the best farming spots we’ve found:
- Brookham – Dayton WetlandsÂ
- Highbank – Broken DeltaÂ
- Holtown – Chalk Peak
- Blackfell Fallen Zone – Red Sands
Brookham, Dayton Wetlands
Brookham is a large town in the north of the Dayton Wetlands. It’s home to many storage containers knocking around in most of the buildings and plenty of deviants roaming the streets, gas station, and church. This is an area that you can easily farm early on, earning you roughly 60 Acid an hour or up to 200 if you take on the elite near the Church and have better gear.
Highbank, Broken Delta
Highbank is a settlement in the centre of the Broken Delta. Dense mobs spawn in the western part of the settlement western part, especially near the storefronts, houses, the market, and the town hall building. Most of the shops are open and tend to have a storage chest you can loot. Lower-level players can expect to gather up around 80 Acid per hour. Better-geared players can up that to around 150-200 an hour. The elite at the center of Highbank drops 30 Acid and isn’t too hard to defeat.
Holtown, Chalk Peak
Holtown is a small, yet dense settlement on the border of Chalk Peak that’s best suited to higher-level players with higher-tier weapons. When properly geared, you can grab around 200-300 Acid per hour. The main road and the buildings lining it are prime spots, the latter typically housing two to four enemies depending on whether you can access the roof or not.
Blackfell Fallen Zone, Red Sands
The Blackfell Fallen Zone is a large end-game city suitable for players at or above level 40. Enemies that drop Acid tend to congregate around the supermarket, the mayor’s office, the gas station, and the subway. They drop 5 Acids each, making every run highly profitable when you consume Preserved Deviate Chops – 300-400 Acid per hour.
Other ways to farm Acid in Once Human
Here are several other ways to get Acid:
- Convert Stardust to Acid
- Hydro Engineer memetic specialization
- Sulfur Chemist specialization
- Complete events
- Spend Stardust at Warband stores
Polluted water farming
You can also get Acid from polluted areas. You’ll need to set up a base in one of these (they typically show up near strongholds), then start pumping polluted water. Filter the water then place it into fermentation barrels to convert it into Acid. It’s an efficient way to get Acid but is very much a late game method because you need quite a few advanced memetic recipes to craft all the required components.
