There are a lot of mechanics, old and new, in House Flipper 2, which can be pretty daunting for new players. So we’ve put together a list of seven House Flipper 2 tips and tricks to help beginner players get started and better understand the game.

If you’re having trouble with some of the mechanics, we have a couple of quick guides on how to paint walls in House Flipper 2, and how to tile floors and walls in House Flipper 2 that will tell you exactly what to do. For now, though, let’s take a look at our seven House Flipper 2 beginner tips and tricks.

Complete your jobs in the right order

When you start any job, you’ll have a list of what needs doing in your notebook. While you can do these in any order, we’ve got a very efficient way to organise your time, to make things go more smoothly. We recommend completing jobs in the following order:

  • Sell items
  • Pick up trash
  • Clean stains and windows
  • Demolish/Build walls
  • Modify walls
  • Modify floor
  • Buy furniture
  • Unpack

You might not have to do each of these for every house you flip, but sticking fairly closely to this plan will turn each mission into pretty smooth sailing.

Use your perks ASAP

Now and again, you’ll unlock a perk for one specific part of your toolkit. Use this as soon as you get it. It costs nothing to use and will make your house flipping so much more efficient. This is especially true for things like cleaning and trash collection, which you’ll be using all the time, so make sure you’re upgrading them.

Make sure things are clean

As you clean stains, they’ll slowly start to disappear over time. Make sure that they’re fully gone before you move on to anything else. If there’s even a tiny speck that hasn’t been cleaned, the stain won’t count as clean, and you’ll have to scour every surface trying to find where that last stain is, which can be incredibly frustrating. Don’t move on to the next stain until the counter in the top-right corner shows that your current one has been cleaned.

Take breaks when flipping houses

Once you unlock the chance to buy houses to flip, we don’t recommend doing the whole thing in one go. Flipping an entire house is a lengthy and expensive process, and you likely won’t even be able to afford to do it all in one go.

Our approach is to take it bit-by-bit. Once you’ve tidied up the house, renovate a room, and then go and do a few missions. Then, come back and do the next room, and then do a few more missions. Splitting it up like this can make the process much more manageable, and will stop you from completely running out of money too. This is especially true for the bigger houses.

Sell your unused paint and tiles

When you buy paint or tiles to use in a flip, you’ll more often than not have a bit leftover at the end. Rather than just wasting them by throwing them away, you can sell them and recoup a bit of the money you spent on them – every little helps!

Finish jobs early

Finishing jobs to completion will net you more money, but there’s no shame in just handing in a job early. Maybe you can’t find that last speck of dirt, or you’re just not a big fan of unpacking or buying furniture. Either way, if you decide you don’t really want to finish off a job, turn it in and move on to a more interesting one.

It doesn’t matter where you place things

In some missions, you’ll have to buy some new furniture or unpack some of the client’s belongings. In these missions, it doesn’t really matter where you put stuff, so you can just quickly throw it all on the floor if you want. If you’re someone who enjoys that aspect of the game, then go for it, but if you’re all about making fast money, then feel free to just dump everything in a pile.

That’s it for out House Flipper 2 tips and tricks. Hopefully, you found something on here that was helpful in your own gameplay. And if you’re looking to start renovating houses for yourself outside of missions, our how to renovate and flip houses in House Flipper 2 guide will help you get started.
